Full Text
A report is in circulation, that the King of England, had, by proclamation, dissolved his Parliament, and called a new one. We cannot trace the report to its source; but we are far from thinking such an event impossible. The present Parliament has been more than five years in existence--the numerous petitions to them, demonstrate that they do not represent the feelings of the nation. A dissolution of it is therefore necessary, preparatory to Peace. As a circumstance indicative of the probability of the report we mention, that we have seen advertisements in the London papers, from Members of Parliament, thanking the Constituents for their past support, and soliciting their further suffrages, "should a dissolution of the Parliament take place."

A report is in circulation that the King of England, by proclamation, dissolved his Parliament and called a new one. The report cannot be traced to its source but is considered possible given the Parliament's over five years in existence and numerous petitions showing it does not represent the nation's feelings. Dissolution is seen as necessary preparatory to Peace. Advertisements in London papers from Members of Parliament thanking constituents and soliciting further support indicate probability.
