JERSEY CITY FERRY

To the Editor of the Tribune:

You notice in your paper of Tuesday, an accident which occurred on the previous night to a passenger in landing from the Jersey City Ferry-boat. This is not the first of the kind which has happened this season. For the want of sufficient light at either side of the Ferry passengers are very liable to meet with an accident, particularly those not accustomed to crossing this ferry. This is one of the many complaints passengers make who have occasion to cross to or from Jersey City.

"The Fall of Adam," is illustrated in fine style on many of the pavements, and the crossings prove that the Corporation adhere pertinaciously to the doctrine of original sin.

Main Argument

insufficient lighting at the jersey city ferry causes accidents for passengers, particularly those unfamiliar with it, and this is a common complaint; the corporation's poor pavement maintenance illustrates neglect.
