Dr. Haywood, Noted Educator, To Speak At St. Paul Church

Dr. John Wilfred Haywood, noted educator and Field Secretary of the Methodist Commission on World Peace, will deliver the eleven a.m. sermon at St. Paul Methodist Church, Sunday, September 21.

Dr. Haywood, an ordained minister of the Methodist Church, who has pastored in Brooklyn, N. Y. and Marshall, Texas, was born in Maury County, Tenn. He served as president of Morristown Jr. College. Morristown, Tenn., from 1936 'til 1944, and as president of Gammon Theological Seminary, Atlanta, Ga., 1944 1948. He is the former dean of Wiley College, Marshall, Texas; professor of Education and later dean of Morgan College, Baltimore, Md.

Dr. Haywood has served as secretary of the Methodist General Conference.

He is a member of American Woodmen and Pi Lambda Psi and holds the following degrees: A.B. from Lincoln University, A. M., S.T.B., LL.D. and D.D.
