The sixty-second annual session of the Somerset Conference of Congregational churches is in session with the church in this village, the meeting commencing yesterday morning. The attendance is good.
After devotional services the conference organized by choice of officers as follows: Rev. T. L. Mitchell, Moderator; Hon. A. R. Bixby, Scribe. In the afternoon the general topic the Pulpit and the Pews was discussed by Dea. A. Kennison, L. L. Walton, Esq., and the Reverend Gentlemen T. G. Mitchell, T. F. Millett, A. J. Rackliff and J. L. Evans. In the evening there was a very entertaining and profitable Sunday School session with addresses by Rev. J. M. Frost, Rev. C. M. G. Harwood, Hon. A. R. Bixby and L. L. Walton, Esq.
This morning the reports of officers and delegates were made and topics discussed by Rev. Dr. Tappan and Mr. F. R. Buck.
In the afternoon the annual sermon will be preached by Rev. T. F. Millett followed by communion service and adjournment.
