LOCATED ON SMALLEST LEASE IN THE PROVEN FIELD.
Is Strip 175 Feet Wide By About 1,200 Feet Long, State School Land Which Recently Leased.
According to information brought to Laredo today, Vindicator No. 1, located on a strip of land 175 feet wide by about 1200 feet long, being in Survey No. 2341, between Schott field and Los Ojuelos, near the Corranan wells, came in this morning good for from 100 to 125 barrels of oil per day.
This strip of land, which represents the smallest lease in the proven field, was acquired some weeks ago by Alfredo Villareal, who went to Austin and closed negotiations, the strip being school land. In granting Villareal the lease he was given permission to drill four wells on it. The lease was sold to Eubank et al., Villareal retaining the royalty on production. There are a total of 8 1/10 acres in this strip and it will be developed fully, a total of four wells to be put thereon as specified in the rights given the lessee by the state.
