Your inserting the enclosed Answer to some Queries, as well as the paragraph of indubitable intelligence, will oblige

ANSWER to Some MILITARY QUERIES sent to

Wildman's a few days ago.

Who got the last eleven vacant Governments?

Edinburgh, the Earl of Loudoun.

Quebec, Hon. James Murray.

St. Augustine, James Grant.

Pensacola, -- Johnston.

The Grenada, &c. &c. Robert Melville.

Stirling Castle, -- Lieutenant Campbell.

Dunbarton Castle, Hon. Archibald Montgomery.

Who got the last five vacant Regiments?

The First, or Royals. -- Sir Henry Erskine.

The Third, or Old Buffs -- John Crawford.

The Twenty sixth, -- John Scott.

The Sixty fifth. -- Alexander Mackesy.

The Sixty Sixth, Lord Adam Gordon.

Yesterday Lieut. Col. Amherst (who was born in

an unlucky latitude) who served all the war in America

as Adjutant General, under his brother Sir Jeffery

Amherst, and who had the chief command of a successful

expedition to Newfoundland, mounted his Majesty's guard as Lieutenant, under the orders of Lieut.

Col. Nugent.

N. B. Lieut. Col. Amherst's commission as Lieutenant Colonel, bears date the 24th of Nov. 1759.

Edward Nugent, Esq.'s first commission in the army was dated the 9th of August, 1759.

His Majesty has been pleased to appoint the following

Gentlemen to be Staff Officers on the establishment

of the Governments of the late Acquisitions, viz.

GRENADA.

John Fleming, Esq; Commissary General of stores

and provisions.

Lieut. Maclellan (4th reg.) Major of Brigade:

William Bryant, (Half pay) Surgeon and Purveyor to

the Hospital.

Rev. John Bouder, Chaplain.

Ensign Dalrymple, (63d reg.) Fort Adjutant and

Barrack Master.

Capt. Forbes, (4th reg.) Deputy Judge Advocate.

ST. VINCENT.

Deputy Commissary John Davies (half pay) Deputy

Commissary of stores and provisions,

Lieut. Fairbairn, (4th reg.) Fort Adjutant and Barrack

Master.

Rev. Michael Smith, Chaplain.

George Young, (half pay) Surgeon to the hospital.

DOMINICA.

John Weir, Deputy Commissary of stores.

John Boon, (half pay) Surgeon to the Hospital.

Lieut. Ancram, (half pay) Fort Adjutant and Barrack
