SUPREME COURT.
At a Supreme Court of the United States, begun and holden at the City of Washington, on the first Monday (being the second day) of February, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty-four.
PRESENT,
The Hon. John Marshall, Chief Justice.
Bushrod Washington,
Gabriel Duval
William Johnson, and
Judges.
The Court adjourned till to-morrow morning, 11 o'clock.
Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1824.
The Court met at about 12 o'clock.
PRESENT,
The same Judges as yesterday, and also Judge Todd, and Judge Story.
The Chief Justice delivered the opinion of the Court in the case of R. I. Taylor vs. John T. Mason.
A number of cases were called over; but the lawyers not being prepared to argue them, and from the absence of some of the other lawyers, they were postponed, and the Court adjourned till to-morrow at 10 o'clock.

Wednesday, February 4, 1824.
The Court, this day, commenced the hearing of the celebrated Steam-boat case on a motion to reverse the judgment of the Court below.
At eleven o'clock, Mr. Webster entered into one of the most powerful arguments we ever remember to have heard, and continued to hold the ear of the Court in the most devoted attention, until nearly half past two o'clock, when Mr. Oakley rose in reply.
The Court room was excessively crowded, from the commencement of the sitting, until the close.
