OHIO.

Cincinnati, October 18.

The Baltimore express train, due here at 6 o'clock this A. M., met with an accident at Alcyon bridge, wrecking the locomotive and tender, both of which went through the bridge. Engineer Dan Perdue and fireman Joseph Parent, both of Chillicothe, might have saved themselves by jumping, as the train was not running over 12 miles an hour, but they died at their posts and thereby saved the passengers, not one of whom was injured and passengers in the sleeping coach not even awakened.
