Keesler Field postal employees didn't join the Easter parade. They were busy handling the greatest influx of mail in Keesler Field history, according to E. V. Shove, Keesler Field postmaster.

Parcel post "packages from home" were 100 per cent above normal over the two-day Easter week-end. Mr. Shove said the total mail received here during March was nearly 15 per cent above the February total. Since the postage-free law went into effect, outgoing mail has increased by several hundred letters a day.
