Lose Pensions.

Topeka, Kan., July 26.-Capt. J. P. Grinstead of Company L, 21st Kansas Volunteers, now at Chickamauga, and ordered to Porto Rico, has been advised by the Pension Department that his pension for disabilities sustained in the Civil War has been stopped.

He has conferred with other veterans at Camp Thomas and has found that they received similar notices.

The department told them that if they were healthy enough to pass a physical examination in the mustering in of the volunteers they are too healthy to draw a pension.
