The sentence passed by the French Chamber of Peers, upon the ex-ministers, is rather severer upon Prince Polignac than his associates. He is condemned to perpetual imprisonment in the continental dominions of the kingdom, deprived of his titles, rank, &c. and declared civilly dead. The other three ministers are imprisoned for life, deprived of rank, &c. and placed in a state of interdiction. All four are condemned to pay the cost of prosecution. This sentence does honor to the humanity of the French nation.
