Lynn, Mass., November 18.
Hannah Williams, Hood street, proprietor of a small variety store, has notified the police that while she was away Wednesday evening, a man broke into the store and stole $7 in money and some goods.
She lives in an apartment at the rear of the house and her three little daughters 10, 12 and 14 years of age, were there.
The man rushed into the bedroom and attempted to assault the 14-year-old girl, but was frightened away by the outcry of the other girls and the sound of approaching footsteps from the street. The police this morning arrested one man on suspicion, but Mrs. Williams could not identify him and he was discharged.
