FIRST A. B. CHURCH

Franklin Square, Rev. J. Alfred Wilson pastor.—The weekly prayer services were largely attended. On Sunday at 6 a. m. prayer meeting was held and at 10 a. m. the Church School had its promotion day exercises. At the morning service, Pastor Wilson preached from the subject, "The New Deal and the American Negro." It was interesting and had plenty of food for thought, which was received by the large audience present. Many distinguished visitors were present, including Rev. J. Henry Brown, rector of St. Augustine Episcopal Church and Rev. S. M. Lee of Atlanta. At 7 p. m. the B. Y. P. U. held its regular services and at the evening hour, Pastor Wilson preached another very impressive sermon. Sunday, October 7 is going to be a high day in Zion. Pastor Wilson will fill the pulpit at both morning and evening services and 4 p. m. the Lord's Supper will be served.
