We hear from Hempstead in Hertfordshire, of a Shocking Murder committed there a few Days ago. A Farmer about 50 Years of Age, having sold some Corn, his Father about 75, went and received the Money for it; the Son afterwards calling for the Money where he sold the Corn, was told, his Father had received it: On this, the Son went home, and told his Father, he wonder'd he would receive that Money, or he intended to pay his
Rent with it. On this, some Words arose, when the old Man drew out a long Knife, and run it into his Son's Belly about 6 or 7 Inches, and kill'd him on the Spot; his own Family came to prevent Mischief, when too late, and found the Knife sticking in the Son's Belly: On this, the old Man was apprehended, and committed to Hertford Goal.
