The two Battalions withdrawing from Vilvoorde, and some other Troops, having repossessed themselves of Mechlin, Prince Waldeck ordered back a Detachment to the first mentioned Place, the French not having possessed themselves of it. It has since been attacked; but when the last Letters came away, the Castle still defended itself, having four small Cannon the French employed against it. A French Detachment has Taken Possession of Louvain.

General Barany's corps (11 battalions, 12 grenadier companies, two dragoon regiments, two hussar regiments) marching to Brabant via Maestricht, with Dutch permission to pass and use paper payments. Dutch troops ordered to posts; additional lieutenant general, major general, two brigadiers appointed to assist Waldeck. High desertion in French quarters; general pardon published for returning Dutch deserters. Two battalions from Vilvoorde and other troops repossessed Mechlin; Waldeck sent detachment back to Vilvoorde, which French had not taken but later attacked; castle defended with four small cannon against French. French detachment took Louvain.
