GOP Is Not Anti-Labor, Says Willkie
MILWAUKEE, Nov. 13. (UP)- Wendell L. Willkie, 1940 Republican presidential nominee, pledged today to fight efforts which he said were being made to make the Republican party the "anti-labor party."
"Some say the Republican party should be the anti-labor party because of current disturbances in labor," Willkie told an audience of 400 attending a meeting sponsored by the Milwaukee county Republican committee. "No more foolish course could be taken by the Republican party and I will fight it every step of the way."
