Mrs. Julia McKinney Mitchell will be the principle speaker. Mrs. Mitchell is a native of Atlanta. She holds degrees from Spelman College and Atlanta University. She is a member of the faculty of E. R. Carter Elementary School where she serves as the music director.
Mrs. Mitchell was honored by this school in 1955 as being its first "Teacher of the Year."
Mrs. Mitchell has served as choir director and organist of Wheat Street Baptist Church, member of several civic and professional organizations, and finds time to speak for many various occasions throughout the city. She is the mother of two daughters.
Members of the graduating class are Miss Charlene Elizabeth Carey, Mesdames Lorene Love Davis, Margaret Turner Duncan, Miss Annie Elizabeth Elliott, Mesdames Betty Jean Famber, Evelyn Boyer Harper, Annie Laura Hollingsworth, Sarah Elizabeth Jenkins, Miss Johnnie Mae Mack, Mesdames Gladys Marks, Clara Elizabeth Pittman, Bobbi Harris Slaton, Helen Louise Showers, Evelyn Geeder Wise all of Atlanta: Miss Lenolia Gates, Senoia, Ga.; Mrs. Marian Garner, Waycross, Ga.; Mrs. Katie Beavers Selman, College Park, Ga. and Miss Maynelle Maxine White, Lake City, Fla.
