The Railroad—
The work goes bravely on. There are no laggards on the line. Our friend Col. Drake, who has the grading contract inside of Fayetteville corporation limits, is, in energy, a sample of the whole; and he is pushing his work ahead at a 2.40 rate Under such able management, any enterprise would verify the prediction of "well done and quickly done." At the present speedy rate of construction, the iron will be laid, and the whistle startling the people of Fayetteville, by about the 15th of next May. At present, we learn, there is no intention of slacking the work; but, on the contrary, if any change is made, it will be in an increased number of workmen. We trust such will be the case.
