Big Horn county 4-H clubs will hold their annual county-wide achievement day on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the community room of the court house here, according to A. L. Johnson, county agent.
Clubs from the Hardin, St. Xavier, Wyola. Lodge Grass Community and Sorrel Horse communities will participate.
The morning program will include the awarding of 4-H pins and achievement certificates and the presentation of cash prizes to leading members of various clubs.
In the afternoon. officers of the county 4-H council for the ensuing year will be elected and a motion picture will be shown.
Mr. Johnson said that the problems of the war have handicapped 4-H club work. but that several clubs have carried on a worthwhile program in spite of difficulties. The following clubs have completed this year's work: Pride of the Big Horn, Hardin: Wyola Livestock Wyola; , Lodge Grass Willing Workers. Lodge Grass: Community Hustlers. Community: St. Xavier. Sod Busters, St. Xavier, and the Sorrelites. Sorrel Horse. Several other clubs were unable to complete their work.
Baby beef. hog fattening. fat lambs, poultry, gardening, small grains, canning. sugar beets, potatoes and cooking are some of the projects that have been carried on this year.
