Roosevelt Will
Recommend More
Housing Projects

WASHINGTON, Oct. 17—(A').
President Roosevelt said today his
recommendations to the next con-
gress would include plans for a big
increase in housing projects in con-
nection with relief work.

Asked at his press conference if
the housing program would fit in
with the new public works pro-
gram, the president replied it un-
doubtedly would.

At the same time Mr. Roosevelt
said there was no inconsistency in
moving industrial unemployed to
small farms with the farm admin-
istration plan of limiting produc-
tion because under the first ar-
rangement the administration was
trying to save human lives.
