The Rebels have got Possession of the Town of Stirling. A very insolent Message was sent to General Blakeney, requiring him to deliver up the Castle. They have been firing on that Fort, but at too great a Distance to do any Execution. It is not doubted but it will hold out till the Forces march to its Relief.

The Rebels in the North are collecting in one Body, and pointing near Dumblane. A Party is now at Alloa, where they have pressed Carpenters and Wrights to make flat bottom'd Boats, to bring their Artillery to this Side of the Forth.

On Wednesday the Regiments of General Howard and Monro arrived here. There are now Ten Regiments of Foot, and Five more are expected, besides Sixteen Squadrons of Dragoons.
