End To Streetcar, Bus Strikes Seen

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13.-(UP)- An end to further street car and bus strikes was forecast for greater Los Angeles today by D. D. McClurg, president of the AFL Amalgamated association of street electric railway and motor coach employees.

McClurg's announcement was made after a union mass meeting held at the conclusion of a three-day war labor board inquiry.

"Our members are restless due to long delay in receiving a favorable decision," the union president said, "however, they are willing to continue working and await a reasonable time for the WLB's decision."

The special WLB hearing ended yesterday with the announcement that no decision on the case can be expected before Oct. 1.

The WLB refused to permit the company to grant a 10 cent an hour increase to workers at a hearing last July.
