Isaac Jenkins of Kittery, District of Maine, sailed from New York on brig Twins under Capt. Dugan in March 1812; arrived Gibraltar in April, impressed onto British brig of war, detained until October when he escaped to an American brig and then to an American ship bound for Brazil and New York.
