EXTENSION OF AIR MAIL SERVICE TO ALASKA

SEATTLE.-Establishment of regular air mail lines to the Pacific Northwest and Alaska is regarded favorably by Second Assistant Postmaster General W. Irving Glover who is here to look over the proposed routes.

Glover said: "I am going to put it up to the Postmaster General when I get back to Washington. If that official approves the plan, Congress will be asked to increase the postal department's appropriation for the fiscal year 1931 so as to permit the service starting about six months from now."
