According to Fred Noel Fletcher, county agent, community fairs will be held this year both at Greenwood and at Grace House On-the-Mountain, near the Wise-Dickenson line on Sandy Ridge.
The Grace House fair is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, while the Greenwood fair will probably be held Oct. 8. Both fairs will feature home economics, agricultural exhibits, and handicrafts displays. Community fairs are being developed rapidly in Virginia in cooperation with the extension services of the state department of agriculture.
