PROCEEDINGS OF THE LEGISLATURE—THE ANCIENT DOMINION LOOKING UP :—$3,200,000 Appropriated for Internal Improvements
The bills appropriating in the aggregate, the above sum for the completion of the Va. and Tenn. South Side Petersburg and Norfolk and Danville Railroads have passed the House, and await the action of the Senate.
In the mean time the friends of External Improvements who may wish to appropriate their funds judiciously in the completion of their Winter Wardrobes will find no difficulty at the CLOTHING BAZAAR, for which they will receive handsome dividends on sight.
Those who wish a fine fitting Garment, equal to custom work at considerable less expense and trouble would do well to call at our establishment—as in VESTs. &c., the shape, size, taste and means of all may be accommodated. A. S. SHAFER & CO.,
