Full Text

Very late from the Pacific.—The ship Orbit, Fish, arrived at Baltimore on Tuesday in the remarkable short passage of sixty-five days from Valparaiso, bringing advices from that quarter to the 18th July. The leading item of intelligence is the occurrence of a REVOLUTION IN PERU, effected by the party friendly to Bolivar. Captain Fish reports, that a plot involving a revolution had been discovered in St. Jago. A Lieutenant had been taken and ordered to be shot, but on the condition that his life should be spared, he promised to disclose those implicated. On the 6th of June, General La Fuente, (who is said to be partizan of Bolivar,) with 1500 troops from Islay, revolutionized Lima, taking possession of the Palace, and Castles of Callao.

The markets all along the coast were extremely dull; and very few articles could be quoted with any degree of accuracy.

The U. S. ship Brandywine, Com. Jones, was at Callao on the 2d June, to sail on the 20th for Rio de Janeiro and New York; and the U. S. ship Vincennes, Captain Finch, for the Sandwich Islands and the Cape of Good Hope. The U. S. ship Guerriere and St. Louis arrived at Callao on the 19th of June.

Strong northerly gales were experienced at Valparaiso on the 4th and 16th July, but no material damage was sustained by the shipping.
