Must Enforce Law.

Lexington, Ky., Feb. 28. Chief of Police J. J. Reagan issued orders this morning to the members of the police department that in the future they would be expected to arrest all violators of the anti-spitting ordinance, which was passed by the general council several months ago at the instance of Mayor Combs. After the ordinance became a law, no violations were reported and it was the belief of the officials that it would be rigidly lived up to, but during the past few days many complaints have been registered with the police department, which resulted in the issuance of the order.
