WIDENING OF SIBLEY ST.

BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS WILL DROP PROCEEDINGS.

"The members of the board of public works say nothing so far as has come up that would change their determination to drop all proceedings concerning the widening of Sibley street."

"We will have a meeting tomorrow," said Commissioner Van Hoven yesterday, "and I am pretty sure it will result, as has been predicted. Those on whom the assessment would fall don't want the improvement, and I for one see no reason why we should force it on them. Today, however, will tell the tale."

If the board decides to drop the improvement, a communication will be sent to the council, recommending that all proceedings pertaining to the work be annulled.
