In that his Majesty being displeased with the Conduct of the Marquis de Terranova, Secretary of State for the Affairs of the Indies, the Marine, and Admiralty, his Majesty signified to him on the 9th Instant, That he thought proper to divest him of his Employments; but that, thro' an Effect of his Royal Goodness, he granted him a Pension of 1000 Pistoles per Annum, with the Title of Counsellor of the Hacienda, or Chamber of Accompts. "Don Joseph de la Quintana, (one of the Spanish Plenipo's) who is put in the Room of the Marquis de Terranova, has issued the necessary Orders for increasing the Number of our Men of War, whenever we shall think proper, and reinforcing the Squadron actually fitted up at Cadiz, which consists of 10 Sail. Orders have also been issued for compleating our Land Forces."
