Nugget's Special Service.
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 8. - Mrs. Eva Jones, an aeronaut, who went up in a balloon yesterday, with the intention of dropping gracefully to the ground in a parachute, met with a remarkable accident. The parachute failed to open, and the aeronaut came down like a leaden pellet. The onlookers were horror-stricken, but were somewhat relieved when the parachute opened just a few feet before it reached the branches of a tree. The fall was broken, and though Mrs. Jones is badly bruised and has a few bones broken, there is no danger of her life.
