NEW ORLEANS-(A N P)-A committee composed of more than one hundred ministers and lay members is working with Bishop S. L. Greene in perfecting plans for the entertainment of the Bishops' and Connectional councils of the AME church when that important meeting is held here Feb. 11-16 at Union Bethel AME church.
The episcopal residence, which was purchased a few months ago by the 8th Episcopal district as a permanent home for the presiding bishop of this area, is the scene of numerous meetings, all centered around the anticipated religious event.
Among those actively assisting Bishop Greene are Rev. A. O. Wilson, H. T. Primm, J. M. Brown, P. W. Rogers, N. H. Jeltz, I. B. Granderson and N. L. Lumzy and numerous lay leaders.
A souvenir program has been printed, several public sessions arranged for, and the refectory of Dillard university secured for a banquet at which more than three hundred guests are expected. A plan now on foot will provide for (Continued On Page 6; Col. 5)

the donation of automobiles to be used by the visiting bishops, general officers, visiting ministers and laymen. The housing committee has succeeded in arranging for lodging for the delegates in the city's most comfortable homes.
Mrs. S. I. Greene, who arrived several weeks ago from Little Rock, is arranging for a formal dinner for the bishops and their wives. This brilliant event will be staged at the episcopal residence, and Mrs. Greene is being assisted in her plans by representative women from the local AME churches.
Women of the church will serve as hostesses at the dinner, and also at the banquet. Younger women of the church have been asked to act as ushers at the opening meeting preceding the banquet and which will be held in the Dillard auditorium.
In preparation for the council the entire city is making extensive plans which will doubtless add to the reputation already earned for genuine hospitality.
