Full Text

Extract of a letter from NewCastle upon Delaware Feb.18.

"Yesterday being the day for opening our court of Quarter Sessions and Common Pleas, the Justices, Clerks and Attorneys come to the resolution of going on with the public business, without regard to the Stamp act, having been previously much pressed and persuaded by the freemen of this county; and the grand jury of the county absolutely refusing to qualify, unless the business of the pleas was carried on as usual. A noble example this to other courts and grand juries."
