Full Text

To the Freemen of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in general, and of the county of Cumberland, in particular.

Fellow-Citizens,

IN a few weeks we shall exercise our privilege in the most important election that has ever taken place in this country. On the First Monday of November, the choice of Electors of President and Vice-President of the United States will be made by a General Ticket, which will allow every voter to designate nineteen men, of whom one must reside in each Congressional District. I mean not to name the gentlemen in the several divisions of the state, who are deserving of this confidence ; but only to invite your attention to one in this County, who appears to me worthy of the suffrages of the people. if talents, integrity, patriotism, public services, and an enlarged acquaintance with the interests of the community, give any title to your favor, you can perhaps never elect a man in whom these qualifications are more eminently united, than the

Hon. ISAAC PARKER, Esq.

At present it is unnecessary to say more. It is hoped that each District will be able to make as good a nomination, in which case the state will be honored, as it has been before by the unanimity of its Electors.

A Citizen of Portland.
