Sudden Death of Harry H. McCalmont, Sportsman and Member of the British Parliament.
London, Dec. 9. - Harry H. McCalmont, the well-known sportsman and conservative member of parliament for Newmarket, dropped dead, Monday, as he was leaving his house here. He was apparently in his usual health as he passed out of the door, but before he reached the sidewalk he fell and died almost instantly, supposedly of heart disease.
He was the owner of Isinglass, the horse which won the derby in 1893.
