C. B. Tarbell On Campaign
C B Tarbell, republican candidate for representative, pioneer of Arizona and well known wherever mining holds sway in the southwest, is making a brisk campaign all over the county and feels sure that he will be elected.
Mr Tarbell's history for the last 35 years has been consonant with that of the county and state.
Born in New York in 1851, being now 63 years of age.
He came to Arizona 35 years ago and became a resident of what is now Cochise county before it had been separated from Pima, living for a time also, in the present county of Pima.
Mining and milling were the trades best known to Mr Tarbell and he worked first in the old mill at Charleston, in this county.
Later he removed to Tombstone, where he worked in the mines in various capacities until they closed down a few years ago.
He then embarked in the undertaking business in which he is now engaged.
Mr Tarbell has never held an office but is determined that this campaign shall break his record and that he shall be elected.-Douglas Dispatch
