By Capt. Lewis, of Maryland, who left general Washington's camp last Sunday fortnight, we learn that the enemy were moving their heavy artillery, stores, &c. all that day, from Staten Island, on board their ships, and that on the Tuesday following he was informed they had every thing on board, and were ready to sail. Some people are of opinion they were bound for New England, others that they were going to join general Burgoyne (as they had heard of a French fleet coming against Quebec) and it was likewise thought they were coming up the Delaware, to attack Philadelphia.
