We are informed, that the venerable Doctor FRANKLIN is momently expected from Europe. It is suggested, in case of his safe arrival, that, as no person can be better qualified, he will be called to fill the chair of state in this Commonwealth, at the ensuing election. The faculties of this second Newton, notwithstanding his advanced period of life, are perfectly sound and unimpaired; and the community will doubtless continue to experience every advantage that can rise from the superior talent and abilities of so distinguished a philosopher and statesman.
