The Sherman Indorsement.

TOLEDO, July 30.-During the Republican State convention here the report was telegraphed out by special correspondents that the opposition to the Sherman indorsement was withdrawn because of a telegram from Representative Boutelle, of Maine. The Blade this afternoon publishes the following telegrams, dated at Bangor, Maine:
"Please deny the report of my interference in your convention matter. I have sent no message of any kind concerning it.
"C. A. BOUTELLE."
The Blade editorially says:
"We do know, authoritatively, that the matter of asking an indorsement of Senator Sherman's presidential candidacy at the Ohio convention was mentioned to Mr. Blaine prior to his departure to Europe by a prominent gentleman of this State, and that Mr. Blaine expressed a very lively hope that the indorsements should be given, and declared that Ohio owed it to the Senator."
The mutual friend is understood to be Murat Halstead, of the Cincinnati Commercial Gazette.
