PORTSMOUTH. Oct. 3.

By a Gentleman of undoubted Veracity, who arrived here a few Days ago from Nova Scotia, says, that he had several Opportunities of conversing with Numbers of the Inhabitants of that Province; who say, that they heartily concur with the Measures adopted by the Grand Continental CONGRESS; and only wait an Opportunity to convince their American Brethren of their Sincerity; and Should a small Detachment of the ARMY go thither, nine Tenths of the Inhabitants would join them, and the rest, in carrying into Execution any Measures that may be adopted by the Noble SONS OF FREEDOM.
