Negro Plot.

In our last we copied a notice of a plot recently discovered at Georgetown, S. C., among the negroes, to rise upon the whites and exterminate them. The papers from that vicinity are entirely silent on the subject; but the following article appeared in the Charleston Mercury of Aug. 25:

"We learn by a letter from Georgetown, received in this city yesterday, that a negro fellow was executed in that place on Friday last, being one of a number lately arrested. No other particulars are given."
