The late London journals are full of accounts concerning cholera, which disease is reported to have made its appearance in one or two of the English seaports, towns. These reports are, however, denied on what are said to be fair authority. A number of cases have appeared in France, and the greatest consternation exists there. There were 75 deaths from the disease on the 6th of September in Wales and Scotland on the at night the epidemic was gradually disappearing. In other great cities are devised by the people at check the progress of the disease and purify the air. Persons with up fog in the markets every evening, supposing that it is the smoke that purifies the air. They throw aer. westel fuel or old along on the burning piles, with the idea of creating as much smoke as possible. The result is that the narrow streets are filled with a heavy and suffocating atmosphere which penetrates the apartments to the great inconvenience of even people in good health, but of invalids especially, several of whom have been made much worse in consequence. The population has, moreover, spontaneously organized a kind of rejoicing and hilarity, for the purpose of keeping up the spirits of those who are in despair at the approach of the disease, and which has been intolerable for the invalid who require rest, although the shock. At sunset crackers are let off in the streets in every direction, and the noisy festivities are kept up to a late hour at night. The epidemic has disappeared from Alexandria; from Brussels- Constantinople, and Odessa- reassuring news is also received. A great deal of invagination and delirium at Constantinople consequent upon the disease. Berlin and about 50 miles free from cholera but fevers were very prevalent. A steamer lately arrived at Corfu from Benis reported cases of cholera there.
