WASHINGTON, MARCH 3.

Among the acts of Congress, passed at the late session, is one which our readers will find in this day's paper, authorizing the Secretary of the Treasury to remit the extra tonnage duties paid, according to the act of last session, on all French ships and vessels which entered the ports of the Republic prior to the 30th of September, 1820. We advert to this act particularly to state, that it has been said, and.

It is believed that the Minister of France is invested with full power to guarantee a reciprocal indulgence, on the part of his most Christian Majesty, to American vessels which shall have entered the ports of France prior to the period above mentioned. — Intelligencer.
