Full Text

Extract of a Letter from Lemberg, in Poland, September 1.

Clemency is one of the King's most eminent Qualities, which Mr. Miaczynski has experienced in a striking Manner. Although this Confederate had rendered himself unworthy of it, by having been the first who, with his Body of Troops, had deposited at the Grod of Oswiezim the Declaration of the pretended Vacancy of the Throne, and he afterwards fell into the Hands of the Russians, who conducted him Prisoner to Kiow, yet his Majesty has been graciously pleased to interest himself in his Behalf, and by his Intercession to obtain his Liberty.
