LIONS KIND MANY MATTERS TO DISCUSS

At the regular luncheon of the Lion's Club on Thursday several important business projects were discussed. Among one of the most important matters taken up was the spring clean-up in the camp grounds, getting everything in shape for the many tourists who visit Rock Springs annually. Almost every night this week, as many as twenty tourist outfits have camped within the grounds. Several loads of cinders will be used to fill the low places, trash cans will be installed and a care-taker employed to take care of the grounds during the summer months. It may be necessary to enlarge the camp grounds this year, as many tourists could not be accommodated last season and a greater number are expected to visit Rock Springs this year, as the Hoback Canyon route to the Yellowstone Park is receiving national advertising which will bring more tourists through here.

A printed proof of the new booklet to be distributed by the Lion's Club and advertising the Hoback Canyon route to the park was presented at the meeting and received the OK of the members present. This booklet and road guide will be off the press within the next ten days.

Mr. Temple, of the Red Cross headquarters at Chicago, was a guest of the club and spoke concerning the purpose of his visit to Rock Springs. He is here looking after the sanitary conditions along Bitter Creek and making arrangements for those living along its banks to secure property on higher ground.

Members of the Fish Committee were present and reported the amount of fish that was distributed along Little Sandy last week.

President Rush L. DeNise and Secretary J. F. Davis will attend the State meeting of the Lion Clubs to be held in Sheridan on June 13th and 14th, and Cub DeNise will attend the national club meeting to be held in Omaha on the 19 to 25th of June, inclusive.

A new nominating committee was appointed to select officers for the coming year to be voted upon at the next regular meeting of the club.

Tom Cahill was a guest of the club and entertained with two pleasing solos.
