THE CITY.

Gas Fixtures Wanted.-The clerks of the First District Court are sadly in want of gas fixtures. All the other Clerks' offices are furnished with gas burners, and we understand from Mr. N. Trepagnier that a resolution passed some time since in the Assistant Board of Aldermen to furnish the Clerks of the First District Court with the necessary fixtures, but it sleeps in the Upper Board. A great deal of work has been done in this office after night, and we think that Mr. N. Trepagnier should be furnished with the gas fixtures so much needed.
