Full Text

The new repeal leader will be Mr. W. S. O'Brien, a member of the Imperial Parliament, who is more anxious to earn the honors of martyrdom at the Dublin Corn Exchange, than to discharge his Parliamentary functions in St. Stephen's. In all probability, the repeal rent will be enormously increased, the agitation will be renewed, but the country will be kept quiet.

Repeal Association.—The usual weekly meeting of the Repeal Association took place on the 20th ult., in Conciliation Hall. There were very few persons in attendance. Mr. W. Gernon, barrister-at-law, acted as chairman.
