Warm Weather Is Hard
on Your Radio Batteries
Care should be taken of batteries in hot months.
Warm weather is hard on batteries. During the warm weather the cheap ones do not show up to good advantage, particularly if they are too small for the work which is to be performed.
Battery manufacturers keep their stocks of batteries in cold storage. When the temperature is low, the action of the chemicals within the batteries is high. When the temperature is high, the reverse is true.
Batteries of all sorts should be kept away from radiators in the winter and out of the sunshine in the summer. If it were possible cold storage for the batteries when in use would be good practice.
