Police Still Developing
Possibility Of Murder In
Whiteville Negro's Death

WHITEVILLE, Oct. 20.-No date
has been set for an inquest to be
held in the death of George Mose-
ley, 24-year-old negro, who was
found dead Sunday morning on the
tracks of the Atlantic Coast Line
railroad near here, it was an-
nounced tonight by Joe Sikes, coro-
ner of Columbus county.

Death was due to injuries re-
ceived about the head. Police are
working on the belief that Moseley
was murdered and placed on the
tracks to simulate accidental
death. A number of suspects are
being held for questioning.
