HAGUE, April 2.
We are assured to day that the request of an alliance of the Province of Holland with the French Republic has been denied to our Ministers at Paris, which news has caused great consternation amongst all those who are attached to the present system.
The States General have taken several resolutions, which shew how little they approve of the measures of the French Administration in this country.
They have among others, resolved to assist with all their power the remonstrance of the Charge d'Affaires of the Elector Palatine, concerning the Marquiate of Bergen op Zoom: also against the frequent requisitions under which they put this country, as the general one of the 29th of January should have prevented any particular requisition.
